    How Are Students Assessed?

Assessment is ongoing and designed to support learning and understanding throughout the course.

    • Online theory must be completed prior to the practical training days

    • The online theory includes multiple-choice questions throughout to check understanding as students progress

    • Students will sit a final exam to confirm knowledge of the course content

    • Verbal questioning will take place throughout practical training to ensure each step is fully understood

Assessment is supportive, not pressured, and focused on ensuring students feel confident and competent.

    Models & Practical Assessment

Models will be provided where possible; however, in most cases students will work on each other during training to build confidence and hands-on experience.

The final day is an assessment day, where each student will work with a real-life client. Students will be required to:

    • Carry out a full, in-depth consultation

    • Assess the client’s skin

    • Plan and perform a treatment tailored specifically to the client’s individual skin needs

This ensures students can apply their knowledge safely and professionally in a real clinic environment.

This course is designed to slow things down, build strong foundations, and help students truly understand skin. The focus is on confidence through knowledge — not rushing into advanced treatments without understanding the basics.
